Excel Celebrates Artists For Humanity
Excel Dryer was thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Artists for Humanity (AFH) in Boston, MA, bringing teen artists’ work to life on the most unique of canvases: our XLERATOR® Hand Dryers!
The Excel Dryer / AFH collaboration provided hardworking, aspiring artists an opportunity to tell their story through artwork that would be showcased in the AFH EpiCenter in Boston. The AFH custom covers are now available for purchase, giving the teen artists further exposure and the satisfaction of knowing their art is out in the world.
“We provided high-resolution files of our art to Excel Dryer,” said Rich Frank, director of business development at AFH. “They were able to apply that art directly to the dryers. They look amazing, like cool sculptural pieces. You can tell they’re hand dryers—just the coolest hand dryers you’ve ever seen.”
Our customization capabilities provide an opportunity for creative expression in restroom facilities, allowing businesses to carry their branding through while elevating the user experience. Our advanced digital image technology allows us to customize virtually any hand dryer with custom graphics, colors, logos and text.
The custom XLERATORs do more than beautify the restrooms. They also help AFH’s state-of-the-art EpiCenter, the first LEED Platinum-certified building in Boston, increase hygiene and efficiency. The XLERATOR offers 95% cost savings over paper towels, eliminating labor, maintenance and waste while creating a more hygienic restroom environment.
Excel Dryer’s Electrostatic HEPA (eHEPA®) Filtration is proven to remove 99.999% of viruses from the airstream. In addition, XLERATORs with eHEPA eliminate the multiple unnecessary touch points associated with paper towels—as well as the risk of bacteria on used paper towel waste.
Some of the hand dryers in the AFH EpiCenter are also equipped with Excel Dryer’s XChanger Combo Kit, an ADA-compliant recess kit. The kits promote maximum restroom accessibility and provide a simple retrofit solution for recessed paper towel dispensers and trash bins.
What Is Artists For Humanity (AFH)?
AFH is a place for teens to feel comfortable and safe while giving voice to their creative visions through paid artwork commissions. The artists are hired by businesses and government organizations, collaborating with studios and entrepreneurs to showcase their talents. AFH participants gain knowledge and experience along with fair compensation for their time, effort and creativity. The program also provides one-on-one tutoring and mentorship opportunities, helping them explore career opportunities in the visual arts.
“Our teens are capable and intelligent, and all they need is opportunities to find success,” said AFH cofounder and Managing Director of Programs Jason Talbot. “We are of the opinion that if we can put our teen artists in a world-class, fully outfitted facility like this, they can thrive and shine and make the most of their lives.”
What Makes Customized Hand Dryers Different from the Rest?
Organizations take great pains to build brands that cohesively and consistently communicate the organization’s personality, unique value proposition and capabilities. Product packaging, advertising and marketing get the full branding treatment, so why not your facility? Your corporate space is as much a physical representation of your brand as your promotional displays are, and it should communicate your brand’s look and feel just as effectively—from the lobby to the boardroom to the restrooms.
Excel Dryer offers the most cover finishes and options in the industry, transforming hand dryers with graphics, colors, logos and text to enhance commercial restroom designs. Our technology has been adopted by celebrated brands and organizations, including Dunkin’, Starbucks, Coca-Cola, the New England Patriots and many more.
