How to Remove the XLERATOR Hand Dryer Cover

How to remove the cover from your XLERATOR hand dryer. 

Follow these easy step-by-step instructions on carefully and successfully removing the XLERATOR hand dryer cover. You will be using the provided tamper-proof wrench. The wrench comes with the hand dryer, if you have misplaced your wrench, you can receive one by sending an email to [email protected] or calling: (800) 255-9235. 

Step One: Disconnect the power supply to the dryer. This is usually located in your electrical panel box. 

Step Two: Take the tamper-proof wrench and secure the wrench to the tamper-resistant bolts. Tamper-resistant bolts are installed on the left and right sides of the hand dryer.

Step Three: Twist the wrench to the left to loosen the bolts. Keep one of your hands under the cover as you loosen both bolts so the cover does not fall.

Step Four: Remove both bolts and the cover will then come off. Be sure to save the bolts to secure the cover following your cleaning and or service.

Now you have successfully removed the cover of your XLERATOR hand dryer. 

For older dryers, you may find a green ground wire attached to the cover, which needs to be removed.
